This is my first post here, been browsing the forum for awhile now…

So I recently acquired my dads 1919 roadster pickup he build from the ground up when I was growing up (I’m 31 now). We recently lost him to this crazy virus back in May. It’s been off the road the last few years after he and my grandfather put another engine in it. My grandfather says he didn’t lap the rods. Well, come to find out, it was a lot worse than that.

Long story short, I pull the engine and brought it to Al Clark in NY. Al is a great guy and very knowledgeable with model A and model T drivelines. I was very satisfied with his work. He did a great job! Once I had everything installed, the thing started right up! Amazed.

The car runs been than it ever did. The engine had a bent crank, all worn out, original cam etc. Al says he beloved the trans never had been taken a park before!

Anyways, anyone in the northeast looking for a rebuilder, Al Clark at Go Devi’s Garage is a must!

I have an Al Clark motor in my '26. It runs really nice too. Only been able to run the car around the yard once, and run it some up on jackstands. Cant wait for next season!!!! Paint color choice was mine. "Green monster" green

The inline fuel filter may cause issues. If the car runs irregularly at road speeds, especialy in hot weather, suspect the inline filter.

Since the gas tank is in the cowl, which is higher than the engine, there is some gravitational pressure on that gas line flow.... That inline gas filter should work just fine.

If you do encounter a problem after many miles, you may need to put in a new filter and clean out the screen that's in the original system.

The in line filter pictured is a temporary measure until I see rust no more, or at least reduced rust from the tank.
I'm going to try a model A or tractor glass bowl eventually and replace the stock all metal one as shown.
Car will be sitting on jackstands until mid April '22.
