Not so lucky in the northeast. We need to move south. My '26 project will sit all winter due to long work hours and bad weather. My "to do list" seems to keep growing...

Northern hemisphere winter begins Tuesday and I will start my ninety day count-down to spring. Looking forward to the sun setting directly west, and all that implies.

I think the Winter Solstice ought to be New Year's Day. That's when the new year really begins. Solsitce or no, it's heading for 80 F here, and the sun is still fairly bright on a clear day. Christmas day high temp records in this area have stood for 66 years, and are not expected to be reached this year. (Yes, Elvis caused Global Warming)

I'm too much of a cold weather sissy for that. Cold air makes my nose run.
I don't have a circle of T's stuck nose-down in the ground...yet.
:)

Same forecast on Christmas for San Antonio area, 78-80 degrees. If winter ever gets here (like it did, February 14, 2021, we'll still be driving until then.

Terry and Michael, don’t be bragging on our blue skies and warm winter temperature. Next thing you know we’ll have a herd of northern Model T guys moving to Texas.....come to think of it, that’s a Good idea !

It is here in California. We have Spring, Summer, and Fall. Then Spring again. It was about 65 and sunny yesterday. We expect a rainstorm starting tomorrow and waning Friday. It could be wet or cold on Christmas. I have only seen it snow enough below the mountains one year in 1949 when the snow was about a foot deep and lasted 3 days in Los Angeles.
Yesterday I was actually helping a friend install a top on a 1914 T. He and his son are about 6'5" tall so they can reach it without a ladder! We got everything on except the actual top material and laid it out on asphalt driveway and It got hot. We laid it on top. I think if it remains warm next week we will tack it down, but before we put on the trim strip, we will wait a few months so that if it sags, we can stretch it tighter on a hot day. We are trying to get it ready so the grandpa can ride in it. He is ill and this car has been in the family for about 4 generations.

Several days of 80-86 F are predicted here. This time of year, that's usually the lead up to a sharp cold snap. Thus are "average temperatures" constituted. T'was ever thus.

Yeah, George, Contrary to Gov. Greg Abbott, Texas still has open borders. :D
