Anybody know anything about this PC of furniture ? I've been in the furniture business all my life, and don't know anything about it..I'm at an auction in NJ . If someone is interested I can buy it for you, and haul it back to PA

Did a net search and it seems that Century furniture company made reproduction vintage furniture for the Henry Ford Museum. There are several auction houses for old furniture that list them for sale. You can check them out for more information.

Century Furniture - Founded in 1947

As are many other items, this was sold through the Museum, though not sure when.

FWIW - that same (type) cabinet here: https://kaiyo.com/century-furniture-cen ... wer-chest/

Best part for sure is it looks to be REAL WOOD! Not this particle board crap. Hard maple maybe? Not my favorite, nor the "blonde" color, but looks decent anyway.

About thirty years ago, the Museum commissioned reproductions of several pieces they had on display. In addition to case goods, they sold a dining table and chairs as well as upholstered furniture. The showroom was on the front of the Museum near the statue and cafeteria.

They eventually stopped selling these items. I own a couch and wing back chair from this collection.

I do not speak on behalf of the Henry Ford.

100% correct, but the piece shown is from the first time they reproduced furniture from the collections for sale, they did it during the Bicentennial. The logo for the Museum that is shown on the drawer case is the late 1970's to early 1980's logo

Lots of differences between the two versions. Both stamped the same. Hard to tell which is most like the original. The one on the right is from KAIYO link for under $800 + shipping from NYC
