Just found this cool accessory
the Allen Bradley co.
Bradleystadt
it is to adjust the amps on your car
any car in the T era that has a generator with the 3rd brush
just wondering if anyone has ever used this item? Bob

That's pretty cool........a wire wound rheostat probably, to increase or decrease voltage to the third brush. Only problem.....it's too darn nice and interesting to install in a car! More of a "wow factor" display item.....
If memory serves, Bradley was a big manufacturer of radio parts back in the 20's and 30's too.

Allen Bradley is a big company in Milwaukee, now known as Rockwell Automation.
