Sure seems like we're losing a lot of 'em lately, or is it just me?

No Tim you’re right, it is happening. I’m more aware of it than in the past, I guess because I’m older now and realize that there are more year behind me than in front. We are losing a lot of friends and craftsmen. I guess I can use that pronoun to describe men & women that have been have contributed so much to our hobby. I am saddened to hear of another loss. RIP

Re: another one
I didn’t know the gentleman but he will be missed. And yes we are losing the 2nd generation of folks who grew up with and around the first Model T owners and mechanics.
As technology is rapidly changing let’s hope the Model T will be around and kept alive after this generation is no longer around.
Anytime we lose someone who is knowledgeable about T’s it does hurt.

What my grandmother used to say,"When you get older, you lose many friends but gain many doctors" That is happening in our lives too.

Re: another one
Bill and I were friends, a few years ago we were E-mailing jokes back and forth on a regular bases. I restored some parts for his early vintage autos and in trade I received 3 of his crankshafts. One is in our 14, one is in my son Derek's 25 and the last one Andy Loso was in the process of putting in my nephew's 26 when Andy sadly passed away. His crankshafts were of excellent quality. Bill was a very intelligent man and will be missed by all who knew him (RIP).
