Has anyone used them? It looks like they make a good reproduction of the side glass I need for my coupe with original black edges.

I purchased a windshield and door glass from them for my 27 Tudor back in November. Took a little longer to receive them than quoted (3 weeks instead of 2) but no big deal. Glass came well packed intact no issues. Last week I got around to putting the windshield in the frame and it fit fine. I could not mount the door glass yet because the guide material is back ordered but I did slip it into the door just to test fit. Looks like it is going to fit. If you have any other questions just let me know. :D

Is there some reason not to buy from a local glass shop and not pay fifty bucks for shipping?

Well in my case I could not find a local place that had the patterns. My car came with busted out windows so they were being replaced because of their absence :D I know there are documents detailing the measurements but I didn’t think the shipping was that bad. Considering the liability of shipping glass, they combined the shipping with the windshield, they had the patterns and I didn’t have to make several trips back and forth I don’t think the shipping was out of line. If I had the old glass and a glass shop within a reasonable distance I sure would support the local guy!

Well I don't really have the patterns of my old glass as it is in pieces in the bottom of the doors. I do have the dimmensions but my reasoning for buying their glass as it is correct, and has the black sealant on the edges to keep it from fogging. So it looks correct. I will have to have the windshield made by my shop though.

Can't Vintage Glass USA make the windshield too?

The glass I received does not have black edges. I put the edges on the windshield with Scotch 130C rubber electricians tape wrapping the glass then a layer of 3m electrician friction tape. The replacement glass is thicker than the original due to the lamination and I believe measures a .25" thick. I had to experiment a bit to see how many layers I needed using the different tapes and gauging the "snugness". I believe the tape I mentioned is the same as the tape the vendors sell. I just happened to have several rolls laying around from when I built and wired my barn.

Check out the original Ford glass manual. I don't know if it's been reproduced, but it's somewhat common.

I misspoke, the edges are sanded to a satin finish, not coated with one. I didn't want to get a windshield from them as that would have been very expensive for shipping, more so than the door glass. All interesting things to consider. I could either give the measurements to the glass guy or I could just by from Vintage Glass.

Glass specifications are here:

I used this to have a local shop make my 1915 windshield.

To save any chance of damage/breakage, I take the windscreen frames to the glass shop, and then pick up the fitted screen myself. They know what they are doing! I have long since stopped using original brass channels, preferring their black mastic sealant which precludes any moisture getting into the frame and consequent rusting.
