New Model T Postcards

Post by old_charley » Thu Jan 27, 2022 10:16 pm

I've exhausted my supply of Cobb Shinn Model T postcards so it's time to move on to others. While the Cobb Shinn cards clearly, obviously, depict Model Ts, these Ts look like generic cartoon old cars. At least they're Flivver positive! The artwork is signed but...? Rich, you were familiar with Cobb Shinn so I'm considering you (unfairly?) our resident art expert. What, if anything, do you know of these?

Hi Brian,
This set of 10 cards are by "WITT" who that was does not appear to be known. They produced 3 set of Ford related cards this set is called "Ford Booster" and depicts the Ford as having advantages over the "big car"

One of my favorites was climbing pikes peak - "While the big cars are stuck around the beanery, the Ford car goes up and enjoys the scenery."

Thanks Peter. I couldn't find anything about Witt either. He was prolific like Cobb. He did a lot of Valentine's Day cards too.
