I read a thread a few weeks ago about painting tires white with PlastiDip. I thought I might try it but couldn’t find any in white. I bought a can of white Flex Seal and painted a junk tire with it. I tried scrubbing it off with a block of wood and it didn’t come off easily so it should stay on fine for normal driving. I think I may try it out, all my tires are old anyway. I thought this might be another option to create faux white tires.

PS: If that stuff will stick to tires and stay flexible, it might make a good fender liner to prevent paint damage from flying pebbles.

I used black Flex Seal on the original top of my '22 Centerdoor which was alligatored and no longer waterproof. Looks good and keeps the rain out. Two coats did the job and it seems to hold up well!

I was wrong, it wasn’t Flex Seal, it was this. I just saw it when I went home to feed my dog and cat. Staying with my mom, had hip replacement but I’m going to test it out when I get better. My tires are all old so if it doesn’t hold I need new ones anyway.

Another use for flex seal would be to coat 21 “ split rims or 30x3 1/2 rims on the inside.

Clean up the rims pretty good and then coat them. I bet it would work. It’s pretty good stuff.

It must be good, the screen door in the bottom of my boat hasn't leaked since I put it on.

I tried white Flex Seal liquid on a junk black tire. Pseudo white walls. Used Griot's tire prep and cleaner prior to Flex Seal application. The Flex Seal was brushed on and bonded satisfactorily after it dried. I don't know about its performance in actual riding conditions though. Although it could be good on riding tires, I won't use it because it is too shiny, it displayed brush marks and it has a gloss finish unlike real white walls.
I did use the Flex Seal liquid on the insides of my rims just as an extra precaution to bolster aid for the flaps.

When I did the top on my 21 huckster, I used a product like Flex Seal on the heavy cotton material I covered it with. After about 8 years it needed a recoat.
