I am needing the factory location of the holes for the side lamp brackets (-both the 'A' measurement and the 'C' measurement), ...and the location the windshield clips are mounted inboard (-the B measurement) from the edge. Can anyone help me with this??

Thanks!!

I think J Regan posted that on here some years ago. He was making dash’s for a while. Had all the info from the Henry Ford.

But I have hanging on my shop wall a NOS 13/14 firewall and those holes are not drilled in it. Guess the dealer was on his own with those holes. I think I have a used dash in another building and will look when I get a chance. Dan

By John F. Regan on Monday, November 05, 2007 - 03:18 pm:
"The lamp bracket hole locations and size were the same as earlier T's until about July of 1914 when the lamps had the bracket as part of the lamp and those brackets necessitated a different hole location. The earlier 14 dash with the separate brackets had those bracket holes located at an angle to the sides and lower. The lamps that had the built in bracket used holes that were parallel to the dash sides and above the other holes. The location for those type lamp/brackets would be such that the top hole of the slanted mounting holes would be just above and inboard of the lower hole of the 2 hole pattern that the later lamps/bracket used. The early 1914 bracket used separately with the early 1914 lamps was a bracket that was different than the shape of the 1910-late 1913 bracket in that the bracket did not have the USUAL OFFSET bent LEDGE for the lamp to sit on. Instead the early 1914 bracket was simply wider at the ledge location."
This talks about it.

and this shows the location for 1912.

I can't help more than that.

On mine measurement A is 16"
B is 4 1/8"
C is 2" at the top hole and 1 3/8 at the bottom hole, but my brackets had offset holes.
Hope that helps.

Be careful taking measurements off an original artifact. Even plywood shrinks significantly over this many years. jMHO

Hello Brent,
The measurements I have are from an old set of wood plans for a 1914 Roadster. The windshield frame brackets are 4 inches from the outside edge and 3/4 of and inch and 1 3/4 inch from the top of the firewall. The top hole for the side lamps (for jno Brown) are 5 1/2 from the top and 1/3/4 from the edge. If you have E & J lamps use 8 inches from the top and 2 inches from the edge. It is recommended that you drill the top hole and position the bracket with lamp and adjust straight then drill the bottom hole. I hope this helps!
