Years ago I saw some shots of Hap 1915s cut off touring and never thought I'd have my own.

Now I have a 1915 cut down touring, but can't find some good photos of Haps car for inspiration. Does anyone have photos of early cut down tourings they could share? Or better yet, threads that describe similar cars?

Here are 2 different ones that have been in the Pocatello car show. This one is a roadster body but shows how a shorter bed might look.

I’m glad “Blackie” and other cutoffs can be an inspiration to you. As with a speedster, you can build a cut off anyway you desire. That is what the farmers used to do.
Above is from the 1952 Vol 14 no 2 HCCA Gazette a picture of my Dad and Blackie. When Dad bought it shortly after WWII, it had already been updated with the curved 1924-25 style front fenders with the lip that was designed to match up with the 1924-25 apron under the radiator. It also had the 1915-mid 1917 equal length windshield hinges replaced with the later unequal mid 1917 to 1922 windshield hinges. And the front wheels are 1919-1925 demountables. The ignition switch is 1940s-1950s pull out headlight switch. Oh, and the rear seat and rear doors had been removed. But it is still my favorite Ford. There was an article in “Ford Owner” that describes how to make a wooden pickup box for the Ts. That was republished in “The Vintage Ford” along with an updated version a few years later. If you or anyone else would like a PDF copy of those articles – drop me a note with your e-mail address and I will send you a copy. Our club allows us to make those available at “no charge” for non-commercial use to promote our club and hobby. And also to hopefully get a few more Ts on the road. Below is a photo of Cliff Nordstrom’s “updated Murray Fahnestock” plan built pickup bed.

Hap, you are a gentleman and a scholar! Thank you for the excellent information. I'll be up late tonight reading! I'm definatly taking the standpoint of not turning back history on this car. It's been this way since at least 1962. Dad and I are just going to get her running like new and I will then enjoy her as is (cosmetically). This will be dads 3rd model T revival, so I'm looking forward to putting his knowledge to work. While the turtle deck that came with it is solid and cool, I'm really digging putting a pickup box back on it and using it. I'll probably end up searching for a correct early 1915 horn and speedo when funds allow, but that'll be a fun pursuit for when I have it on the road and enjoyable.
