Crankshaft grinding..seems to me if I recall someone was going to have a few done

I seem to recall reading that someone posted they were going to have a few cranks ground. I can not find anything doing a search. If anyone recalls that post or if the poster could get back at me that would be great. Sorry if this is a thinly vialled wanted ad, but is only way I can reach out to find the information I need.

Mark, I know others have replied, but I think that I was the one that you referred to. I previously posted that I had a bunch of EE cranks that I was going to have done. Some may need grinding; others may need just polishing, but all need magnafluxing. I live in Cibolo, TX, a suburb of San Antonio. Parks Engine Service in Seguin, TX. is only 30 miles, or less from me. Rick Pridgen is the owner and their phone number is 830-379-4562. They charge $30 per crank to mag; $38 per crank to just polish, and $125 per crank to grind. I don't know how these prices compare with the others who have posted, but with them being so close to me, I doubt I could send them out of the area and save any money. I hope this helps.

Thanks Keith. I thought Crankshaft City had gone out of business when the old owner passed. Looks like it is still open. I will check with them. Enjoy your shopping!

Kevin, sorry about the extra calls yesterday, my phone auto dials when I click on a name in my directory. I didn't see it was you calling later in the day.

Crankshaft City is still in business, but the name is changed. Their phone number is 503-231-1936
They can grind crankshafts, but told me they no longer do chroming or buildups.
I am getting two 1910 Brush Runabout cranks rechromed to normal size and reground to original dimensions, by Electronic Chrome Grinding in Los Angeles.

Do they understand the requirement of a "generous" radius on the throws ? I have a stack of EE's I'd sure like to get checked & finished !
