You only have seven days left to register for a motel room at the MTFCI national tour in Hamilton, Ohio in July. After April 1st, the rate nearly doubles, if any rooms are left. Don’t miss out on all of the fun for the whole family. Be in the first group ever to have registered to stay at the brand new Spooky Nook facility!

Tom, I have looked over the registration sheet and advertising in the T Times and I have found no mention of your April 1 date. The magazine has May 31 as the date given as a deadline before the cost goes up. People who are paying attention to the printed registration sheet might be POed. (Maybe the key to your statement is the date you give).

The cut off for the motel is April 1, registration for tour cut off is May 31. Somehow in the magazine, that date is wrong. In order to get the contracted reduced room rate, the reservation has to be made actually by March 31. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks for catching the error. I wish we had caught it before now! But folks still have time to make the reduced reservation rate!

This will be our first tour other than the Michigan Jamboree last summer (and we didn’t bring a car to that one). I’m filling out the registration and am wondering what the significance of the “banner #” is?
Also, is there a lot of activity on Saturday? Trying to decide whether to show up Friday or Saturday. We’re about a 4-6 hour drive from Hamilton.

Arrive on Saturday and do some on your own things around Hamilton. The opening banquet is on Sunday morning with car show at the same location.
Some folks like certain banner numbers and reserve those numbers. If the number is not reserved, a number will be assigned in the order of registrations submitted.
Hope this answers your questions.

Miles - at some tours each car is given a number which may appear on a sticker or banner. Some folks like to keep the same number from year to year.

If it was me I would arrive Friday evening. You will get a prime spot for parking your trailer, and not have to deal with everyone else arriving on Saturday
. You will have Saturday to get your car in tip top shape. You can drive around a little bit on your own to get the hang of the town. Do your own walking tour and hopefully meet someone you know or just start making new friends. Arriving early just helps to cut down on the stress.

Thanks David, that’s the way I’m leaning. Sounds like a good way to meet new folks before things get too hectic.

I'm looking and don't see any nearby camping. We'd prefer to bring our toy hauler with the T inside and stay in a campground if there is one close. I don't desire to drive 10 miles or more to and from the activities in city traffic if possible.

Because of the printing error in the Model T Times, the host hotel, Spooky Nook, has extended motel registration until April 15. There are 20 rooms left and the contracted rate extends until the 15th.
So everyone who has not registered has another 15 days to do so.
Thanks

Calling it a "printing error" is not fair to the Editor of the magazine. Call it what it is - the committee missed it. Own it and do what you can to recover. Oversights happen and people will accept that if you try to rectify.

The committee is solely responsible for the printing error submitted to the editor of the magazine. We are simply trying to correct the date so everyone is informed and can get their reservation made at the discounted rate.
