Where can I buy Michelin 30 X 3 1/2 tubes?

Actually I have one at home which is left over from my evaluation of Blockley vs Michelin. Both were sent to me by the Australian Stockist in Melbourne, Victoria.
The Michelin is even thicker, heavier in weight than the Blockley but can’t recall if it’s 100% Butyl. It does have a metal Valve Stem. I was concerned that as this Tube caters for three different size Tyres (to reduce inventory levels) and thought the tube could be stretched in some applications and possibly folded up being too large in others. It would certainly be a massive improvement over all of the other rubbish being offered at present. I chose Blockley but still love the thickness and feel of the Michelin. Photo finish decision in the end!

I think someone with lots of money would have to come along to do what A&L Parts Specialties did for the Model A's. I wrongly assumed they got Schrader to start making them again. When I spoke to them about it, they said Schrader gave them the go ahead to manufacture them on their own. I haven't spoke with A&L lately to see if they are making the 888, which is what the early Model A's used. That is the size I prefer for my T's with round felloe wheels, and someday will also have them on my 1925.

Larry, A& L have relocated and is only selling wholesale now, and like a lot of suppliers have cut back on things. I’m not speaking for them, so perhaps you will have a better connection there. Good luck

Nowhere. I believe all current metal stems are the larger 724/725 size. If you want correct 777/888 sized stems you buy rubber stem tubes and replace the rubber stems with old metal ones. I do this to save about $15 a tube. I use the larger size because they fit my dust covers. I haven't had to alter my wheels to accommodate them.

For those that aren’t aware , A & L for many years made very high quality replacement parts , mostly for the Model A Ford. The things from memory that will work for a T are really good hoses and clamps for tire pumps,( they look just like the original cloth wrapped hose) and if you are lucky enough to find a model T ford script vacuum wiper, they make the perfect wiper arm reproduction. Theses arms were the same as used on the early model A vacuum wipers. Sorry for the drift. I believe Snyder’s, Burt’s and other model A parts suppliers would be the place to buy A& L goodies. Sorry for the drift, but perhaps tire valve stuff is available from their manufacture still.

Does A & L only sell to dealers or how do you contact them?

Wholesale only now, Jim. I go though a lot of tire gauge lenses, but decided to continue buying through Snyder’s.
