Touring roof windshield clamps
Does anyone have any insight into the difference between these 2 windshield clamps ? The right one came with my 1922 Touring and the left one came with the 1923 roof irons i just found. The right ones have a smaller diameter and dont fit on the windshield posts I now have.

The bracket on the right isn't Ford. Some other auto.

The left is correct for one man tops 23-27. The right, I have not seen before, but in researching better than stock options for top tie downs on 17-22 ,I suspect its part or an after market non strap method. There would be a rod to pick up the lower W/S hinge To meet that neat clamp attached to the front bow as seen in model T accessory adds.

Re: Touring roof windshield clamps
There are two different styles of thumb screws too, early and late. The early ones look like the example on the right.

My '25 Touring has the one on the left, both in the OP's photo, and in Rich Eagle's link.

Re: Touring roof windshield clamps
John, I have never seen one like you show in the right of your picture, do not think it is Ford.
