I’m taking my custom hay baler to Dearborn on the 23rd of this month; coming home late on the 26th. Thought we’d spend the entire Tuesday afternoon at Piquette and the next 3 days at THF and Greenfield. Is the bus system from the airport manageable or should we rely on cabs? Are any other Forum Friends going there at this time?

The DTW airport has a bus stop on the lower level. It takes you up Middlebelt Road and connects to Warren Avenue. That will get you to Dearborn. I’m not sure if it’s the M-39 Southfield bus or the Warren Avenue bus that goes through Fairlane Mall. That bus takes you to the Henry Ford. For Piquette, a cab is your best bet in my opinion.

The bus routes are on line. Middlebelt to Michigan could also be an option.

According to the Piquette museum website they are closed on Tuesdays.

Wow!.. Thanks Tom and Jeff. That’s a plans changer. Didn’t even think they’d be closed on Tuesday... bummer....now we’ll spend Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday at THF..

Rent a car - it'll give you much more flexibility. With a rental, you might want to visit the excellent Stahl Automobile Collection which is ONLY open Tuesday and one Saturday a month. Just jump on I-94 East and head for the NE suburbs <http://www.stahlsauto.com/>

Go further afield and Michigan has some great car collections (Gilmore, RE Olds, Sloan, etc.)
