Scam or no Scam

There is a trailer on facebook market place at a crazy low price. " It is listed for a friend" please contact them, so I did.
I asked 2 different questions in two different emails and got this same answer in reply both times

Hello,
Here are some more details about my 2018 Pace Enclosed Trailer, it doesn't need any repairs. Has electric brakes on both axles and LED lights. Comes with one spare tire, GVWR 7000 lbs, Exterior dim. 18' Long 8.5' wide 8' tall, Interior dim. 18' Long 8' wide 6'10" tall. I have the ownership and clear and clean title on hand. The price was reduced to $1200 because I'm in a hurry to find a buyer to sell the trailer in a maximum of 2 weeks when I will be leaving on military duty with my medical team out of the country (in Poland) for a year and I don't want to store it without using it. Right now I'm stationed at Malmstrom AFB Montana, doing special training and getting ready for my deployment in Poland to help the NATO team with this conflict in Ukraine. I had a prearranged deal with eBay (using this service you will have 5 days to inspect/test the trailer before I'll get any money) so my presence isn't necessary. I think I can have it there at your home address within 3 working days. Also, you will receive the title already notarized and signed over by me, along with the trailer at delivery. So, you'll get the trailer for $1,200, without any additional costs involved because I will cover the delivery fees. I need to know if you are interested so I can ask eBay to send you the details on this deal.

In order to start the deal, I need your full name and delivery address so I can reserve the trailer for you and they will contact you with all the instructions step by step on how to complete the deal. I will also attach some pics below.

FEELS IFFY TO ME. ANY INPUT IS APPRECIATED THANKS,,, TOM

U.S. airforce awaiting deployment to Poland to assist NATO.? That sounds fishy to me.

Give them the address to the FBI building and ask if they will accept payment in Gift cards, that should tell you really quick.

Sad. I am sure that there are legitimate deals out there? Somewhere someone in a real bind needs to unload something quick and can't because whatever they say will sound like a scam.
But this ISN'T likely it.
For one thing? They give dimensions for two different trailers! For another? Ebay has never offered the transfer services as he describes them. There is also the delivery cost issue for such a low cost vehicle sale yet high cost delivery item. In reality, anyone in a bind with something like that would probably just give it to someone they know! That was what I did when my dad died and left me in a bind to "relocate" a bunch of his heavy stuff I had no place to put.

It’s always 1200 for something worth ten times as much. Always only one photo, probably a stock photo. And always a gmail address. Craigslist and Facebook marketplace do nothing to police themselves.

Too bad Stan Howe isn't still around. He was in Great Falls at least once a week.
Malmstrom AFB is on the edge of Great Falls. He would have ben able to scout out the truth.
It is about 5 hours from here and I'm not going down there for another month or so.
There's a couple of T guys there if you think it has any shread of being legit.

Google the Craigslist post title, you will probably find the same trailer listed all over the country... and may even find the real listing for a much more realistic price. I’ve heard that this is done to collect personal info for scams, but also to punish a person with a flood of incoming calls from all over the nation for a sale they know nothing about

You said you said you saw the Trailer in Facebook and the Seller says he has an agreement with eBay... :?
This can be true - There is an option in eBay for a seller to also get their listing in Facebook.

I tried a search on 2018 PACE Enclosed Trailer on both eBay and Facebook.
Found nothing on eBay but did find these on Facebook... the one on the far right seems legitimate, but the seller is on vacation :?
The one on the left seems very much a scam has exactly the same description as the one in the middle from a Dealer. Also if you zoom in and compare the area below the arrow you'll see one signs of a copy - the one on the left is not a sharp as the middle
Coincidentally it reads
"2018 Pace Enclosed Trailer GVWR 7000 lbs. Exterior dim. 18' Long 8.5' wide 8' tall, Interior dim. 18' Long 8' wide 6'10" tall, GVWR 7000 lbs. In Excellent condition, has electric brakes on both axles and LED lights. Comes with one spare tire.
Your Facebook seller's listing appears to have plagiarized the one above

1 way you can tell it is a scam is if it were real,it would be sold within a couple hours and the post would be gone.

Trailer or car or boat or truck, here is a sample of the same question from someone on eBay; https://community.ebay.com/t5/Motors/eB ... 753#M39211
It is not just a USA thing, even overseas these scammers are hard at work trying to get your money.

I just looked on marketplace and there were four photos of the same trailer all advertised by different sellers in different cities. Just be careful...if it smells, back off.

The trailer was advertised in my town but when I wanted to see the trailer it all of a sudden a friend borrowed it to move his stuff to the Midwest. I told them I am going to that location in the following week when all of a sudden it is moved to a eBay warehouse across the country again. No matter what you tell them, it is not available to see the trailer due to some reason and they are shipping out within a couple days so hurry up and buy it. A friend of mine got lucky, a trailer was advertised for a very low price, he answered, went to see it with cash and brought it home. It is an 18’ x 8.5’ wide by 8’ hight interior, brand new, used to move across country one time for $4000. Some people get lucky.

Ya the old eBay non-existing warehouse! As said often on eBay community forums, report it to the site you saw it posted on. You would not believe how many people still fall for this. :(

I scroll right by all the $1000 trailers on FB Marketplace. Most in my area are listed as being in Detroit. Yeah, right…
