A good fried with questionable taste has a 15 painted neon green.
Not his fault directly, he bought it that way. I actually encouraged him by finding it on fleabay.
Not to my taste, but I will tour with him any time. Somethings must be overlooked & tolerated from a good friend.

David,
The young lady that owns that speedster has since replaced, (is replacing?), the body with a Depot Hack, to transport her growing family. A nice story of a nice young woman who grew up with Model T's and has continued the hobby.

Re: does it have to be black?
We all come to this T thing from different places, so perhaps being black
is not important to some as much as others. I come to the affliction via a
TT flatbed that my friends and I found in a barn of a nearby farm when we
were about 8 years old. I was smitten. In that wonderful old barn also sat
a similar era Fordson tractor and other related period implements. To me,
the interest is centered on a pre-war "Americana" ambiance that was the
America my grandparents knew, and thusly, I choose to capture that organic,
period look and feel, and strive to present my truck as if it is 1933 and it is
just another day on the farm. The truck gets used as a truck, not a novelty
that just goes out for shows and ice cream runs. Not that that is a bad thing.
It's just not what I am in to, or how I want to present. I'd rather have people
see it hauling hay and firewood around the area than sitting static at a car
show. The paint is not perfect, .... it is just an old truck, ... leaks lots of oil,
but it presents pretty well as a 10-year old truck that gets used and abused,
but is largely original and cared for. Bright colors and bare wood are silly
to my eye, something I would expect for a circus car. But that is just me. I
can also recognize that this is supposed to be about fun, and if people go down
a different path in their pursuit of fun, well good on them. I'd rather see a
bright colored T than another boring modern, any day.

Re: does it have to be black?
Well said Brent. While I don’t care for the bright and neon colors, at least, except for the unorthodox colors, the featured T’s appear to have been kept as mechanically original T’s instead of being converted to rat rods, which, to me, is the most important thing.
I am currently selling my factory original (except for the color), 1926 Fordor in the MTFCA classified-vehicles and eBay, which I bought in 2004 and was going to completely restore to showroom condition. Had things gone according to plan, it would have been painted Windsor Maroon and upholstered with the proper red striped upholstery, but as usual, I never got around to it and am hoping the new owner will keep it original. When I bought it, it was painted red long ago, by a past owner, I suspect in an attempt to preserve the steel body until he got around to it but, like me, he never did. Though not an original color, whoever painted it red, did such a good job applying the red that it has accomplished its’ purpose in protecting the body from further deterioration. The fact it has been garage kept on jack stands for 18 years has helped. Jim Patrick

Re: does it have to be black?
It doesn't make sense to have a Model T unless it is the color and the way you like it. Some members may be quietly gritting their teeth and "refraining form complaining". I seem to remember a black Model T with one yellow fender somewhere.
It is always fun for me to see what others are enjoying.
Thanks for this thread.
