I defer to the profound knowledge of this group. I am attempting to correctly summarise the history of my 1926 Runabout. A few pics at the end of the data. Please review my data summary, and please suggest corrections/additions. Thanks for the help!
1926 Ford Model T Runabout
Built in River Rouge factory, Detroit Michigan in March 1926 SN 13374606
USD $360 includes:
Electric starter
Balloon tires
Nickle chrome radiator surround and headlight bezels
Driver's side door
Extra cost factory options:
Wire wheels
Spare wheel and tire, rear mount
Period accessories:
Moto meter with gull wings
Running board Step plates
Stop light (brake light)
New Day bakelite timer
Spare tire cover
Modern improvements:
Master battery relay
Removable steering wheel mechanism
Kevlar transmission bands
Colour is Ford Channel Green. Although many models of T were sold in this colour, the Runabout was not, leading to suspicion that this car was either special ordered this colour from the factory, or was originally a pickup truck and has had the bed replaced with a turtle-deck. There are no clues indicating this car was ever any other colour.
This car is very original. It has its original motor, although it has been rebuilt. It was repainted channel green at sometime, many many years ago. Electrics remain 6V, including wooden mechanical ignition buzz coils.
