Manifold Gasket Options
With the 'skipping' or missing out of the way (at least 99%) I am going to replace the manifold gaskets. I'm tired of the trashy exhaust sound! So, the original was gland rings and copper rings, right? I'm not sure yet that my manifold is straight or warped. If I went with the other gasket options, which are best...copper, paper....? Does it matter? I assume that I should use some sealer as well? At the same time I'm going to flip the valve cover and replace the throttle rod as we talked about earlier. It makes me wonder why and how long the last guy put up with the timing being off? I can't understand that. I have not checked the coils yet. I'm chipping away at the little things first. I'm seeing improvements and learning lots! It's starting to be a fun car to drive!

Re: Manifold Gasket Options
If you have a straight exhaust manifold the gaskets below are superior to anything else...

We make the gland rings nice and same thickness as originals now, Bob

Re: Manifold Gasket Options
I still prefer the "all in one" copper ring gaskets...yeh, pricey, but for me they are the superior one's!
