Vintage Dirt Drags!

Last weekend my son and I took our speedster up to the Fairgrounds in Allentown, PA to participate in the Vintage Dirt Drags.

The event focuses on flatheads and early OHV powered Hot Rods and early motorcycles. The fairgrounds have been around for well over 100 years and they started racing cars on the dirt oval horse track sometime in the 1920’s and ended in the late ‘60’s. They set up a short track of about a few hundred yards on the old front stretch.

We were one of two Model T powered cars there. Although we had the slowest car there, I think we had the most fun!

They hold the races again in October, so now the search is on for a 10 tooth pinion!

Thanks Tim!

He had a great time. Although, he is convinced the driver in the striped down brass T speedster jumped the start. I think his reaction time was just way better than mine!
