Has anyone used either radiator?

I’m looking to purchase a new low style radiator and found these two listed on Ecklers.
My question is this, has anyone purchased either and how did they work.

The customer service person was very nice but could not determine if made in America or any difference in them?

Can't say for sure but I'd guess these are made by Brassworks or possibly leftover Bergs. You should ask them. If Brassworks, you might be better off going to the source unless Ecklers has them in stock. I believe Brassworks has a backlog of a couple of months.

I'm baffled. They are both low style and flat tube. One says made in USA the other doesn't. What does "replacement style" mean?

The picture in Eckler's (MAC's Too) are the same as Brassworks AND that they are shipped direct from the manufacturer. Items like this are never stocked by suppliers - to many dollars sitting on the shelf waiting for a buyer.

For what I can see in the ads, the first one lists 8 fins per inch which is not a lot and the second one shows the core as off set tubes so the second one would be the better one.

When you talked to the customer service person did you ask if the radiator was in stock? If not how long a wait time. Ask who manufactures the radiator. Several years ago I inquired Macs (Ecklers) about the T high radiator they were selling at that time and I was told they got the radiators from a source in California. But that was then but don’t know about now.
I decided to buy a Bergs at that and it is a great working radiator.

The pictures of the Eckler's radiators are not of Brassworks radiators, unless they too have gone to non-original top tank outlets. Bergs had top outlets like that, but theirs were mounted differently to a one piece, pressed top tank cover. These are different.

As suggested, check stock levels first.

That’s what I was told when I ordered in April.

Buyer BEWARE

Mac's used to be a good company. They provided good service, good parts, and proper shipping. THEN, Eckler's bought Mac's. That's when the package started downhill. I have personal experience with this/these company(ies). Parts were ordered from Mac's. The order was delivered late, incomplete, and incorrect. When Mac's was contacted via telephone, the answer was Eckler's does business this way and the employees have no options as to the type of service they give to long time Mac's customers or any customers. Since then, all parts have been acquired from ANYWHERE BUT Eckler's/Mac's.

It brings up questions in my mind, as to WHY would Eckler's purchase another company: Mac's, then keep both names, sell under both names, and provide poor service under both names? There has to be an explanation and I fear the answer is detrimental to consumers. You'll find the same items and sometimes the same ads under either name. I often see this on eBay. One of these days, I'll look up the feedback ratings on them just to occupy my mind when I should be doing something else such as contemplating the meaning of life or how to understand women.

Good Luck!

"Replacement Style" will invariably mean that the core does not have the steel reinforcement plate running through the core, upon which is mounted to the securing point of the T. Additionally, the top inlet and tank is not the same as the original, and in the case of Berg, the top tank is, I think, a single drawn piece of brass...not a soldered assembly...not original but pretty darn bulletproof. The Berg radiator on my father's T is of this style. It has lasted about 42 years, so I'd say it can hold up without the reinforcement so long as the frame is not sprung

Pictures I have seen of the Brassworks radiator show a pretty accurate representation of the original radiator

Berg’s radiators, or at least the one I have, didn’t have the reinforcement across the bottom. Those he was making just recently DID have that feature. And the top tank was one piece.

There’s a video on YouTube showing him building one.
