What is it?

Found this in stuff I brought. Is it just a single cly coil box? I think Master Vibrators have a switch don’t they? Thanks Dan

I though mine was for telephones but I see several like yours for sale as hit and miss engine coils. Pfanstiehl made a 4-cyl version.

Not likely for Fords except as after market.

Two quotes from the Smokstak guys (FWIW):
"I'm sure (Pfanstiel Company) sold them to any one who wanted one and they would make a label to suit, and attach it to the box."
"Both Pfanstiehl and Detroit made wood coils for Cushman engines. If you remove the brass Cushman plate, you will usually find the manufacturing company's decal underneath."
These are hit and miss guys I believe and know more than I do about them.
P.S. This ad from Gas Review (September 1913) eludes to it being a spark coil for engines.
