Help identify non Model T Ford part

Digging through my shed looking for a 26-7 brake pedal I ran across this, looks like steering to me might be transmission, any help appreciated, Bob

Guess is may be part of accessory steering gear, the one below is Sprage (?sp).

Perhaps the piece is from another mfg.
