1910 sidelamp brackets

Post by RGould1910 » Fri Jun 24, 2022 3:27 pm

Were the sidelamp brackets used in 1910 brass plated or painted black? Here's what I found when I bead blasted paint off the brackets on my 1910. Brass plating over steel. Im wondering if I should shine them up or repaint them. Don't know if these are original. I suspect not. For sure the black paint was applied when the car was restored from parts in the 80s.

Who knows what some one had done in the past. One of my 10s were plated and also the starting crank. Hope this helps?
