fuel tank shut-off 0n 1927 fordor

On a 1927 fordor can you shut off the fuel tank valve if you lit the seat is there enough room between the seat frame and tank to do this
I also have a '27 Fordor and I just went and checked if I raise the seat, can I reach and shut off the gas valve on the bottom of the gas tank. My arms are not flabby and still it is a quite close fit to try to get to the gas shut off valve between the gas tank and the front seat frame. I was able to touch the front of the gas shut off valve by pushing my arm tightly between the gas tank and the front seat frame, but not able to close it. I should mention I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and if one is wearing a long sleeve shirt or a jacket, it would be much harder if not impossible to get to the gas shut off valve. Another thing to consider is that the gas valve is quite close to the exhaust pipe, and it would be easy to get a burn on ones arm if not extremely careful.
Rather than try to do this from above, it would be much easier to fabricate a remote valve shut off valve with a lever coming out through the splash apron.
Another option for shutting off the gas tank valve would be using an electric shut off as are available for Model A's. I found them in Snyder's catalog under Model A parts, part numbers A9241-12 (12 volt), A9241-6 (6volt), and A9230-AR12 (12 volt). Prices range from $72.00 to $124.95, and these are in-line shut off valves. These operate electrically and are connected to the ignition switch so when the ignition switch is off, the valve is closed.
