I've lightened for clarity slightly

Have been working on an estate sale clean up, of a long time member, and found this Rad Badge amongst the 'treasures'.
We are wondering if it's an early MTFCA badge? or a well made replica of the MTFCA logo. It appears to be aluminum, with a 'Scotch® No. 467' adhesive backing. Measures a hair under 3 1/2" The lettering appears to be hand applied, not a newer true graphics print.

Thoughts??

Can't help much except the emblem and title on the Vintage Ford mag looks to have been standardized with the Volume 35, Number 3 May/June 2000 issue. Before that the title and emblem were in several different colors even in a years worth of issues. While it could have been used after that date it looks like would have been used prior or maybe a little past. Looking in the mag is no help as a quick check, I don't see any color photos before Volume 38, Number 5 Sep/Oct 2003. Might check with someone at the headquarters.

Thanks Mark. I'm hoping the MTFCA office or those close will add to this.

I got some these from Ben Yumori at the national convention I put together years ago. I seem to remember him telling me he had these made to promote the club.

From memory, following discussions with Bruce McCalley, he mentioned his son drew the logo when the MTFCA was first envisioned. Indeed that logo is on the upper right side of the cover of issue 1 of The Vintage Ford. The style you mention was available in 1976 when I bought one for my Coupe. I put mine on the original radiator. A plastic one was made available from the club store and is now on the drivers rear window on the coupe.
So they have been around for a long time
