Just got a load of good used T parts and found this hub
similar to a T but larger bearing and straight shank has ball bearings on the inner but taper race on outside
measures 2 5/16" across outer and 3 3/8" at inner, about the same overall diameter on flange
thank you, Bob

Years ago I bought a collection of all kinds of T parts in buckets and boxes and found several T hubs but 2-3 were almost identical to the one you have. The hubs were not the best of shape but I kept the covers because they were almost identical to a Ford cover. Must have been used by different cars besides the one you show to likely be a 490 Chev hub. I guess the guy I had bought them from also thought they look almost the same as a Ford.

One reason a T collector may have a Chevy 490 front hub is to build a T speedster using Chevy 490 spindles in T axel for lowering plus maybe 490 steering gear. The wheels could be built up with Chevy hubs and Ford rims.
