What do the tire numbers mean?

A couple of months ago, I installed (5) brand new 4.50-21 Goodyear tires on the 21” split rims of my 1926 coupe. I took a picture of one of the labels. While I think I know what the numbers 4.50-21 mean, I am not absolutely certain. I have no idea what the CCAE1 means. Jim Patrick

Jim-
4.50" is the sidewall height.
21" is the rim diameter.

Twice the sidewall height + rim diameter = tire outside diameter:

(2xx 4.50) + 21 = 30"

CCAE1 is probably an inventory code.

Thank you. I was wrong. I thought the 4.50 was the width of the inflated tire. Jim Patrick
