Drats....blind-o me...just realized bills on front fenders...must be a '10, sidelamps would be Brown 60's, they had the 3 tier chimney as I recall

Interesting. Notice the later style slanted windshield with support rods down to the side of the body.

Looks like a Torpedo or open runabout windshield.

Looks like a rear seat...so probly is an open Runabout. That explains 5 people too, maybe!

Must have been 6 people if the person taking the picture was a rider. Those women could walk around the woods and sweep up the leaves without lifting the skirt!

I see a top for a Touring Car with dogleg irons. The color is light like a red (body and chassis) rather than the dark green. The windshield must be after market or what was available. Note the roll down front curtain.

Looks like the woman on the right also has a dog. They would have a full load if everyone was riding in that car.

What a great photo. It looks as if the young lad has a pocket watch from the chain hanging from his coat.

Definitely a touring. 4 top sockets on each side. The old woman has her hand on the door top and just below it is the door handle in a vertical locked position. Below the handle is the bottom door hinge arm sticking out just above the tear fender. Shading on hood looks to light to be dark green so my guess is it is a red 09.Click on the pic.

The 4 inch board that raises the windshield makes it a 1910 or 1911.

The addition of a windscreen confuses the matter. I understand the earliest cars could be had without windscreen, so any addition could be made at any time, using whatever screen was available, including those supplied later by Ford.

How about the horn with the beveled screen frame? When were those in use?

The winged radiator logo and short radiator neck point to 1909.

Grandma didn't ride in the car. She held on to a short rope tied to the back. When she got above a slow trot, air collected under the starched skirt and she skimmed along on a cushion of air. That lady would have been middle-aged at the outbreak of the Civil War.
