I wonder if the side view mirror on the fender in the first picture was actually useful or if vibration made it blurry?

Love the backwards "9" of 1915 in the second pic as well as the spelling of Governor!!

I guess the California top is the one of the guy with the string of ducks or pheasants. I got to looking at it closer and it’s a Touring with the enclosed or California top. Haven’t seen that in the old catalogs that I have. Must have been short lived like other T accessories.

Regarding the fender mounted mirror:
My brother has a 1932 Pierce Arrow Brougham with mirrors attached to the sidemounts. Absolutely useless. They vibrate constantly and never seem to be pointed in the direction that you need for them to be. If the mirrors vibrate too much on a 5200 lb. luxury car with shock absorbers, imagine what that mirror does on a flappy Ford fender.
