I have long wanted to build a replica, since I wrote to George Norton back in te 1960's, but things got in the way. Now I have a restored chassis on which to build it, but I need some help.
For anyone going to Hershey, and sees the truck, I would appreciate some square-on photos from the front, sides and rear to scale up some drawings. Any details of windscreen hinges, door fittings etc would also be a help.
In anticipation,
Allan from down under.

My trip to Hershey is never complete without seeing this truck!
I’ll try to remember to get some pictures from the angles you asked for.
Until then, here is one I took in 2017. If you have a copy of Les Henry’s book you can find a picture of it on page 139.

Ed, that's the photo from the restored book that inspired me. George Norton was organising s Glidden Tour when I first wrote, and invited me to write back a few months later. I rediscovered his letter in my files a few months back.
Square on photos make drawing up plans easier than any angled shot. Photos of the features can be from any angle.

Allen,
I stopped by the JC Taylor tent every day. Due to the rain they didn’t bring it out until today.
It was a challenge to get some good pictures from the angles that you asked for because of how it was parked but did the best I could.

Excellent work Ed. Many thanks. Your photos show more details for me to work with. The ironwork to hinge and latch the tailgate is clear. I can work the overall dimensions from the square on photos. Interesting way to mount the door hinges, totally on the outside of the body. If you see any of the windscreen hinges like those, it looks like I need two pairs. You have me excited.

Allen, Lang's has the windshield hinges, a friend of mine made the dies and made a few so they have the extra's. Hope this helps.
