This is a 24 Touring that belongs to a Ford dealer from St. Louis. It belonged to the dealers father who passed away. The father had taken it somewhere years ago to be worked on because the engine locked up and then he passed away. The son said his dad had told him about the car but he never knew where it was taken. Just by chance the son mentioned it to one of his dads golfing buddies while playing golf. That guy said he knew where the car was and that the man that was going to repair it had also died. So after being MIA for several years the son got the car back. It looks like the engine has been gone thru and set back in the frame and a lot of new parts including a gas tank, wiring harnesses, Bergs radiator, Anderson timer, hoses and belt, spindle bushings and bolts had been purchased and never made it onto the car. I have not found the carb or the coils. This is not going to be a full restoration, but just put it back together and clean up and touch the paint and upholstery as needed. The dealer plans to display it in the dealership showroom. I'm addicted to these things. Art

Art, great score on finding the car. It sounds like some good work and good parts were added to it. I hope you remembered those surviving the mechanic. Also, beautiful '11 in the background there.

Neat story, glad the car was found and will be finished and used as originally intended. :)

This 24 is finished and ready to be picked up by the Ford dealer It is going in his showroom for it’s 100th year anniversary. The chassis and suspension rebuili and painted, upholstery restitched, new top, complete paint, carb, coils, wiring etc. The engine, transmission, and rear end had been new rebuilds. Art
