This image was supposedly taken in Allenton, WI.

A LOT of cars were damaged here. But, one identifiable car stands out. A Centerdoor.

If you zoom in you can see the roof of the car and that there is a strip of material of a slightly different hue on the sides of the roof. You can also tell that the roof panel is solid.

Appears to be a salvage yard.

Possibly a train carrying unassembled Model T to branch locations that derailed or some other calamity? Notice the floodwaters in the right of the picture.

I do agree with you Distagon2.... Salvaging car parts straight from the factory.

It’s a train wreck If you look in front of the Centerdoor next to the wrecking crane, there is a boxcar lying on its side.

Yes, I concur - it might have been a Ford "assembly" train.

I wonder that if it is a Ford T parts train and there were completed T chassis on it, would all the parts picked up and cleaned would they be sold for new. These days any cars or damaged in shipment go for salvage and declared a loss.
Maybe back in that era it was anything goes as long as the parts are OK.

I worked at a 2 year AS degree college and the Auto Tecnology Dept. got dented, wrecked new cars to dissemble and work on. Surprisingly when they were through with the cars they were taken to the salvage yards and the school police officers had to watch the cars remains be crushed. Nothing that was usable was not supposed to be used again.

Two years before I retired from the school they received a new Dodge Viper to work on. It had a factory engine issue. I wonder what happened to it!! I don’t know if the Dodge Viper is still being made.

if you use Control +, you can zoom in and see chassis after chassis lined up in FRONT of the sedan, and one behind the sedan, as well as fenders and all manner of parts piled up. I think most certainly this was a train with disassembled cars enroute to be assembled at an Agent's place.
