coil adjustment tool

could some that has one of the coil cushion spring adjustment tools measure the slot width on each end.
i think one end fits older coils and the other fits repops. thanks philip

Philip: I assume you plan to make your own tool. I did this, first sawing a slot that fit the upper bridge of the coils I was working on. Later when I encountered the thicker bridge types, I made the wider slot in the opposite end of the tool. I used a hand hacksaw, about one and one-half blade thicknesses for the slot. I don't have an actual measurement, just slightly more than bridge thickness. The depth of the slot is important too, the tool needs to contact the back end of the cushion spring, and I found that by trial and error. good luck, jb
