McGuffey, Ohio.... I suppose the local newspaper was "The McGuffey Reader".

The second owner of the 1911 touring car that I am restoring like to let girls sit on the front fenders of the car to take their picture in the mid 1930s. Here are two pictures that I have of the car with girls on the front fenders in Tijuana and Beverly Hills.

Letting them do that resulted in some unique denting around the fender attach screws that was a pain to fix this past spring... Those early fenders had really thin sheet metal.

Picture 14 looks like there was a derailment as evidenced by the boxcars on their sides in the water next to the tracks. The boxcars were unloaded prior to righting them back onto the tracks with the crane. Apparently, the boxcars were loaded with new Model T’s and Model T parts which line the tracks. Jim Patrick

The railroad picture was shared recently on another thread (I don't know if I could find it or not?). There was some discussion about it.

The third photo has a lot of fine detail in it. The car is an early to mid 1915 folding top couplet. It has the small opening at the back of the deck rather than the larger door (lid?) on the top. The sidelamps appear to not be the early styles used on only early 1915 center-door sedans and couplets, but might be the transitional early calendar 1915 lamps. I can't tell for sure. I suspect they are simply the typical true 1915 sidelamps.

The second photo is one of the best views of the 1921 "eyebrow" lenses I have ever seen in era photos!

The previous thread of the train wreck was titled: "Center Door with Train Wreck".

On the 8th photo...
Looks like 1912 step side body with straight top fore-doors, however the car has 2-piece dash with equal halves windshield. That's a seldom seen combination.

Neal, I'm glad you got your fenders beat back straight!

: ^ )
