WOW what a great looking car! I bet it's pretty much brand spankin' new there in that picture. Wonder what it looked like a year later, as so many seem to look beat to death by then!!

Those fore-doors were on that car from the factory. They are not aftermarket.

The Mrs in the picture has a proud, pleased smile on her face that says the car is brand new. She's thinking right now about all the trips she will be able to make into town and how she won't have to drag her cart along behind her. I wonder how pleased she will be to keep those tires as clean as they are right now.
When we were at Keith's house about ten years go, his '11 looked this clean. But I didn't ask who kept it that way.

“MyHeritage.” It’s a pay site, but I like the depth it gives some photos. Sometimes it “nails it,” and sometimes not so much. They may have a free trial offer (they did when I started with them).

Not trying to be funny. Paw's back is straightened up and he's trying to look tough.
As tho he knows he's not supposed to smile in a photograph.
Maw is comfy yet less than pleased with the new-fangled contraption. She played along tho.
Both in their Sunday Go-to-Meetin' clothes too and Rob's colorization pic accentuates all that.
Even a dumbhead like me realizes this is an excellent photograph!

The best part of this photo to me (and something I love about the 11/12 cars) is the parallel lines formed between the fenders and some of the body features.
Notice how the top flats of the front fenders run parallel to the hood lines. Then notice how the downward slope of the front fender exactly parallels with the front door cut out at the lower front. Next we see that the tops of the splash aprons are parallel to the body bead line. And lastly, see how the tops of the rear fenders are parallel with the aft body stripe.
That's not all by accident folks. These little "coincidences" tie the parts of the car together visually. Fords of that era had some real style as well as workmanship.
