Another Cool Photo
Here is an early example of the '13 touring. This car must have been produced in late 1912, and is already converted to mag lights!

The license plate fits that time frame. Owners were required to provide their own plates until 1914 when the state started issuing them. This example has a screen the numbers are mounted to for the front letting more air through. The numerals are certainly similar. Perhaps house numbers.
When did I do that?

Re: Another Cool Photo
Great photo Larry,
of an almost brand new car and we're going somewhere ...Check out the goggles!
Look at those headlights. They seem to be a "Black & Brass" version of the John Brown 19. what's with that?
The lovely Victor 1 has three side vents in the bonnet but they are in a straight line.
Jewel in the side lamps...
Also, how about the body stripes. Doesn't appear to be any on the hood though.
Has those short peaked front fenders like one of your cars, correct?
Beautiful early '13.. the crank handle is coal black

Re: Another Cool Photo
John my guess is its the "all but black dark blue" as described for '13s in the encyclopedia. Nice looking car. It would be nice to know the details on the mag lamp...did the dealer do it or elsewhere? Neat that they came into existence well before when the 15s had them.

Re: Another Cool Photo
I'm willing to bet the owner replaced the whole headlight assembly when converting them to mag, and that way eliminated having to do the conversion?

Re: Another Cool Photo
May be just a very early 1913 with the last of the 1912 Browns painted half black.
These pics are of a local very original 1913 touring with B engine number. The all brass lamps are original to this car.
