Which Steering Wheel?

Post by Gen3AntiqueAuto » Wed Nov 16, 2022 3:26 pm

I took the original one out years ago to make it easier to use the drivers door. Thinking I would be happier with a little more control so I'm considering a change. Which one should I put in the car, or keep the same?

Honestly, none are "original" to the year of your T. I would definitely NOT use the little one.

I use a large, aftermarket wheel on my 14 for the extra control.

Your car appears to be a 26/27. I believe it should have the stamped steering wheel with the arms riveted to the hub, and not the cast steering wheel spider.

I'll take better photos when I do the swap so we can all see what we're looking at.

Interesting! I'd be happy to be wrong if it turns out that's a legit thing. Maybe a Canadian variation?

Apparently this is cast as well - this was an original car from Canada when I bought it.
