Ammeter sourcing

Hello, I can't seem to find the fun projects site anywhere and I can't find a 26-27 ammeter in stock anywhere let alone a 19-25 one that I would much prefer. Is there any reliable source of NOS ammeters or repops anymore?
Regards,
Matthew

Fun Projects sold out to Birdhaven a number of years ago - the large ammeter has never been reproduced. Someone is reproducing the small size that I read was much better than the imported model A version.

Steve, do you know who carries the higher quality smaller ammeters?

There is no such thing as a high quality small ammeter.

Only one company is the source of all of them and not all the dealers will even stock or sell them.

The large ones that John Regan made and was selling were top quality,

www.westach.com 20-0-20 amp unit is advertised for Model A positive ground. Install in a 26-27 Model T, just reverse the wires as shown for positive ground to work on negative ground.

I have several of the smaller (26-27) and larger (19-25) tested repro small & original small & large. Various states of patina . Also the adapter plate to put the small ones in the 19-25 ignition switch if they are not made any more.
Most Farm Supply stores sell 2" amp gauges, Steiner tractors loo

I have found a large type ammeter that appears to be not functional, I do know it has spent it’s life in a toolbox completely dry. What would the feasibility be of either rebuilding it or having it rebuilt?

Pull up YouTube, enter Paul Shinn Model A ammeter, and you'll see his video for better contacts inside the ammeter greatly reduces probability of fire. The ammeter used in 26-27 is the same size diameter as used in the Model A. Loose contacts will generate heat. Cleaning then soldering inside contacts reduce heat.

I’ve got one it looks to be in alright condition I don’t know quite how to put a picture here but the dial is in good condition and the needle moves freely, I need to get it hooked up and tested but it looks promising

Matt: The video on YouTube will be helpful to ensure tight internal contacts.

Hooked it up and tested it it worked beautifully, media blasted the trim ring just to get the old paint and gunk off.

Hope you somewhat followed the YouTube video on securing good contact electrically inside the meter to prevent damage from heat and fire

I opened it up and checked the contacts, the resistance was normal for what I found but I touched them up anyways, when I tested it there was no feelable heat.
