I'm interested in making end pieces for the early brass support rods. I'm referring to the thick brass pieces that attach at the hinge and presumably are riveted to the tubes.
Right now I am using a pair I made up by squeezing closed and rounding the ends of the tube and drilling holes to attach to the hinge bolts.
Does anyone have a photo and/ or dimensions of the thicker casting to guide me?

Here’s the drawing of the rods on The Henry Ford website. You can purchase a high resolution drawing for $7

Richard, you may or may not be aware that Dan Mari makes these. Something to look into, unless you just want to do it yourself. I "subbed out" that part of my restoration.
