Need help identifying a coil box switch accessory pointer part.

This was laying inside a used original coil box I purchased years ago (see picture).
It does not appear to fit a stock coil box switch in any way, but it does appear to fit the stock keyhole with the notches some how?

It has a patent date of 10 15 18 on it.

Any idea what it is?...Does anyone have a need for it?...I would like to get rid of it.

It's a piece of an accessory coilbox anti-theft device.
