We don't know unless they tell us.

The doorbell rang and there was a fellow and his wife at the door. He was exploding with excitement about the Coupe sitting in the front yard. He had seen it coming down the road with the Christmas tree tied on the other day and couldn't believe it ran. " A piece of history and so wonderful to see it and know it runs". They had brought us a box of candy and wanted us to know how much they enjoyed it. He told of the Durant and the Grahm that he had had. His enthusiasm was almost too much, and we mentioned how nice it was that others enjoyed the old car too.
His wife tried to hurry him away as there were dogs in the cold car but he couldn't thank us enough.

For the ones who tell us there must be more that enjoy our old cars that we never know about. It sure is heartwarming to know. I'm sure you all hear those things too. I never get tired of hearing it.
Season's Greetings to all.
Rich and Joy.

It was one of the first things I noticed after I got my car running.....driving my T thru a local lake-side town I would see people on the street stop, stare and then big grins would appear on their faces. I didn't expect it but with time I've realized it is a common reaction. I'm glad that merely by chugging down the street I can bring joy to others. How great to be able to measure our Model T rides in "smiles per hour"!

One guy followed my T home and gave me a thick book from 1916: "Automobile Design and Repair" by Page. He must've had it in his car. Great book. Said he thought I was the perfect person to have it!

I have taken either one of my T's out this year to more car shows and events than ever before. Post Covid, there has been an explosion of cars and coffee gatherings at local venues. The T is always parked nearby more exotic and expensive machinery but the crowds always gather around the T. It is very satisfying to know the T has the pulling power over all the other exotics and is the most humble and affordable just as it was in its day.
