I could be tempted, in particular if I can meet as many from this forum as I met back in 2010....

I know we won't meet the gentleman to the left, but might meet the gentleman to the right

It's a bit of a drive for me, but I'm tempted. Seems that it's a little harder to find a steering column for my '26 than I thought.....

Looking forward to all having a fantastic Pre-War swap meet. Folks life is short no matter how old you are, you really do need to attend. In the grand scope of things it’s really a working vacation & the above is worth the price of admission. Don’t miss it, you’ll be sorry you did.

We'll be there, in our usual spots in the North building - NB 5-9. This year we've going to have a $1, a $5, a $10, and a $20 table. We've got some new stuff, and marked down the prices on most of our old stuff. See you there!

Can’t wait to go. It’s a family tradition. Don’t know if I’ll be there first thing Friday morning or late afternoon. Probably have to make a deal with Chris Paulsen to buy out his dollar table

I wish all of you the most fun, the found part & reacquainting with old friends. I’ll attend next year God willing.

I got to wait 2 more years until I am drawing my full retirement to make a trip that long.I made it out there in 2008 and really enjoyed myself. Sadly If I make it back there I won't be seeing Jack Daron and Stan Howe, and 1 other fellow that sold parts I can't think of his name, rode a Grasshopper lawn mower around, good folks i was able to meet in person that are no longer with us.Met alot of other people to. Got to put names and faces together.
Even met the man with the cleanest shop on Planet Earth, Ron Patterson.

Mac that would be John Danuser on the lawn mower, I really miss him. He had a ton of knowledge & parts. If I recall correctly was big into TT’s.

Yep,John Danuser,that was the name I couldn't think of.
I met others but can't remember them all,
I know it was a good trip. If I go back I am going to spend more time out there and explore. To far to drive to hurry back home like I did last time.
I remember a member here let me stay at his place over night and saved me a motel bill and he had a great collection of stuff to,gave me a TT lug wrench,
On the way home,I went thru kentucky and I remember staying at Ray elkins house a night or 2,and bought some parts from a friend of his.
I wonder what became of him?

I live in West Arkansas and brand new to the world of Model Ts. I’m as green as they come, but I’m learning and researching. We are a young family with 3 young sons and looking forward to being a family of building 1 or 2 Ts together and enjoy lots of memories. I have just acquired a T frame/rearend and a TT frame/rearend and front cowl. Is this the type of meet that we could come and find all kinds of parts for our build? Unfortunately, we are on a budget so still mostly back to the saving money phase right now to find and buy/trade for other parts. Thanks

Justin -- I'm in Fayetteville; let me know if I can help you in any way. I encourage you to attend the Chickasha swap meet. Yes, you will find lots of Model T parts there and it's only a few hours' drive. Try to get there Thursday afternoon for the "swap meet" in the parking lot. I also encourage you to meet Bill and Nellie Howell, just across the river from you in Russellville. Their "Car Barn" will blow you away.

Hello fellow antique automobile and Model T Ford enthusiasts. I will not be making it to Chickasha this year but am hoping to connect with someone from the western states of Utah, Idaho or Oregon who is. I have a need to get a pair of Firestone rims transported from Chickasha to Utah. If you are from a western state and will be returning to Utah or traveling through Utah to get home and would have a little space to transport two rims to Utah, please drop me a note here or an email. Thanks for your consideration.

Well, here I go again, overthinking a thread and posting comments about something that I have observed as a long-time participant of this forum, but this might be something that would be of benefit to those who are planning the Chickasha swap meet for the first time.
It seems to me that the Chickasha Pre-War Swap Meet is almost like three separate events, or maybe I should say,.....has three separate parts to it. I'm sure the "promoters" of the event will not like what I'm about to try to explain, but like it or not, this is how I see it:
What I'll call the "FIRST" part of the Chickasha event is the actual swap meet itself. The "SECOND" part concerns a lot of buying/selling/trading that goes on out in the parking lot/staging area outside of the buildings the day before the official first day of the event! Again, I know that this practice must certainly detract somewhat from the actual swap meet event, but I really don't see how this can be prevented, and frankly, I personally have had more success in finding exactly what I was hoping to find at Chickasha while lined up with the huge gathering that takes place in this "staging area" the day before the actual swap meet opens! Like it or not, it boils down to the fact that your best chance in finding what you. really hope to find, or maybe even in selling what you hope to sell, could very well take place while you're lined up in the parking lot the day before the actual swap meet event!
Now then, what I guess I'd call the "THIRD" part of Chickasha these last few years, now seems to take place right here on the forum by way of folks posting on this forum, items, or sometimes even a LIST OF ITEMS that they intend to bring to Chickasha to sell, and maybe even the mention of items that they hope to buy at the swap meet. Of course, this phase of the overall swap meet event would only help to make the actual swap meet event even more of a success as it just tends to stimulate the total number of trading transactions at Chickasha,....and that can only be good for everyone, right? Anyway, again, just my thoughts & observations of late, FWIW,....harold

Anyone with a pickup, lawn chair, and a few extra parts should make the trip and get a spot.
It doesn't take long to "pay for your space", lodging, and meals.
And then you can blow all your profits on different parts.

The last two times I've gone, I've been disappointed in the turnout. It's only about half the size it used to be. Plane fare, car rental and hotel, really adds up.

Harold. Couldn't agree more! I'll add that Part 3 tends to promote pre-sales of items, making Chickasha nothing more than a hand-off point for pre-sold goods. All of the above is why I don't go anymore. That's just me and my 2 cents. Not saying any of that is "wrong", but to me, it detracts from the event. I hope for everyone who does go, a safe trip, lots of fun, & lots of "finds".

Just thought I'd bring this back to the top. Only a few more days. Who's going to be there? We'll be at our usual spaces in the north building at NB6-10. We'll have a good variety of stuff on our $1, $5, $10, $20 and more tables. We'll also have this 1927 Roadster Pickup for sale.

I'll be there vending for the first time at Chickasha. My family said I needed to go through my stuff and get rid of things, so I did. A lot of it has not seen the light of day for decades! Model T & TT, Early REO, 1909-10 Cadillac? coilbox, Pre-War motorcycle, accessories, etc. Spaces are on row NB...next to Paulsen's. If nothing else, stop by to say hello! Verne

Has a nice talk on the phone with Dean Yoder.
He was waiting for the gates open to set up
in the back of his Model T Camper
while listening to the rain fall.
He said turnout for vendors looks good.
He already bought some stuff.
Wish I was there instead of Snohomish, WA.
