I hear the Torpedo has the most legroom but how does is stack up to the Coupes that have no package shelf? What is the Legroom in inches for both cars?

Scott, while I know the answer ...and your intent, I gotta say for someone that has not physically seen those two cars to know, your answer to that is much akin to a D.C. Politician running for re-election!!

Brent, I can back up what Scott is saying, since I OWN a Torpedo and have also driven a '24 coupe anyway, yes the earlier coupe's I hear have more room, but I am willing to bet there's still a significant difference between the Torpedo and any coupe. Even my wife likes the Torpedo due to it's excessive, and I do mean excessive legroom! As I've said in a few previous threads on the subject of legroom in Torpedo's especially, at 5'6" I had to put a 2 inch block of wood on the low speed pedal and even that is barely enough for a comfortable reach! The other two pedals I can deal with, especially since I have RM's, the brake pedal doesn't need to be pushed that far for the desired result.

I can say that 1911 Torpedoes and Open Runabouts have a very nice amount of legroom for tall folks or guys with a little gut.

Tim, I have 4 pairs of RMs. They are the most comfortable, best fitting boots one can buy. They are not cheap, but amortise the initial cost over their lifetime of service, and they are really good value. rmwilliams.com .au
