1915 Horn Wiring

Post by Dave S » Mon Jan 30, 2023 3:16 pm

We have a 1915 T Roadster with an electric horn. The tube on the steering column is very small diameter and won't admit two wires. The question is, how did Ford wire the horn? Thank you in advance.

Magneto horn, 2 terminals on horn, 1 power from mag, the other wire runs to the horn button and earth to complete a circuit when button pushed.

Thank you so much for the help. Now it makes sense. I will scrape some paint off below the switch so as to get a good ground (earth).
