Now THAT was strange!! No helmet law back then of course. I loved the "gasoline bath" they took! Good thing no sparks were around. Pretty cool photography/filming for back then. They were doing 60-65 mph most the time. Too fast on two wheels for me! :lol:

Speedo was in Kilometers not miles. 60-65 about 40-43 mph.

Draining the hose reminded me of when I was a kid. We has a 1-1/2 hp Champion outboard on a 12' sea skiff and we would drain the hoses at the gas station when they were closed to fuel our trips. We also drained all the empty oil cans for the residue as it was a 2 cycle engine. I don't think that works any more as all the hoses run straight down these days and gas isn't 12.9cents a gallon any more either.
