Spotlight bracket

ImageHello all! I recently bought a 1923 pickup and this spotlight came with it. I love it. Half of the bracket is missing. I’m wondering if there’s an easy fix (I saw a windshield wiper bracket in a catalog). Or maybe somewhere there’s someone with an extra? If all else fails I might cut a pipe in half, weld a flat piece on it and tap it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

If you are not going to restore the light, [read ruin the original patina] it would not be too difficult to replicate the missing piece in flat steel, given a former for the curve and some heat. It would obviously look like a made replacement, which is part of its history. Even if you do restore it, the steel piece could still be nickel plated to match the rest.

I have the same light on my '27 and it's well worth the effort to get the piece you need made up. I restored mine but didn't bother with the plating. Works great and the mirror is free of the usual vibration.

Thanks fellas. I have a 23 pickup that is loaded with patina. I'm doing my best not to add anything too fancy or shiny. I suppose I will test my fabrication skills and make the bracket.
