KR Wilson Transmission Reamers Photograph

There has been quite a bit of interest on the MTFCA swap page in transmission bushing reamers, especially the reamers used with the KR Wilson transmission bushing reaming machine. For those who are unfamiliar with the Wilson Transmission Reaming process Here is a photograph showing the 5 different reamers that Wilson sold:
Working from left to right, Wilson sold shell reamers for the reverse and slow speed drum bushings. Next is the mandrel used with the shell reamers. The major diameter of the mandrel and most other reamers is 1.125 inches, which fits the pilot hole in the machine. The reverse and slow speed reamers are a slip fit on to the mandrel.
The middle reamer is for the brake drum bushings. The cutting diameter is 1 inch.
To right of the brake drum reamer is the output shaft bushing reamer. Once the brake drum bushings ere reamed, the output shaft plate was bolted to the brake drum using the six special bolts. The major diameter of this reamer is 1 inch so as to use the newly reamed brake drum bushing(s) to align the reamer as it cuts the output shaft bushing, assuring alignment with the transmission main shaft when assembling the transmission.
The far right reamer is for the triple gear bushings. A special holder was supplied with the machine to,hold the triple gears in place as the bushings were reamed. This holder is often missing from Wilson reaming machines that come up for sale.
