What's Up With Stipe Cams?

I notice Gator in Alabamee is advertising for a Stipe 280 cam. What's up with Stipe cams? Are all the vendors, out of stock? Is Stipe having a supply problem and out of material for production, or are they just too SNOWED under with production making other products that they inventory? I'm glad that I ordered my 290 cam when I did, or I might be waiting a lot longer.

considering the excellent condition of everything in your engine, are you certain you need a cam?
if you do, I would not put anything in that engine other than a modern .250 cam. With original (what did you have, Tin or CI?) pistons, this is not going to be a racer, so you might as well make the most of a modern, plain grind to keep the torque and not worry about speed. I'll bet that Chaffins has exactly what you need.
