Help with year and model

Hi all,
I'm doing some family research for my 95-year-old mom from photos of her grandfather's that I'm trying to get more info about. I *think* they might be 1914 era, the license plate (on other photos I have) shows Mass 1915. He worked at the time as a "chauffeur" and had had his own livery business about that time in Boston. I'm also wondering if they kept the same license plate when acquiring a new car then. Any guidance and education are most appreciated. Thanks! ~ Cathi

It looks like a '14 town car to me - the headlights run on acetylene, but are blacked out, not solid brass (that change happened in 1913, and in 1915 they went to electric lighting), and the lines show the rear (passenger) half of the body section is not separate from the front (driver) section - the doors in '13 were squared off on the bottom, not curved as in your photo.
And what I would give to find that town car now...

And, the botton photo town car looks to be a 1915.

I agree with Scott. These are two of the neatest cars I've seen here in a while. Thanks for posting them!

Oddly enough, the doors on a '13 Town Car were not squared off on the bottom as they were on tourings and runabouts. Just some info. I'm thinking the top photo is a '13 given the front fenders lack of a bill, but then early '14s had not bill also.
No matter what, they're both fantastic looking vehicles. Would love to have one.
